Let’s Finish What We Started

3 months ago, I was confined to a walker and could not walk around the block. Today, I mountain biked 4.5 miles of single track up to 9k ft. Cannot stop me, Cancer. Let’s finish what we started, Williams Cancer Institute. Please help me return to the treatment that was working!

Learning a New Rhythm

Our little family is learning a new rhythm—and for the first time in a while, it’s starting to feel like life again. The girls have adapted to Mama with a walker like champs. They scoot beside me, hold my hand steady, and even sneak in a few rides when I’m not looking. Here’s the beautiful […]

Hospital Stay, Setbacks, and Small Wins

Not being able to move on my own… get food, take my meds, exercise, or care for my family? Brutal. Physically, emotionally, every which way. But here we are. Still showing up. Still trying everything.Still rising. This is what fighting for your life looks like sometimes: messy, exhausting, hopeful, and determined. Please keep sharing, donating, […]

I Hiked Straight into a Wall

Last Sunday, I hiked straight into a wall — metaphorically and physically. I was thrilled to be on a weekend adventure with my family, but I pushed too hard. Since then? Totally immobile. Crutches are back in the game. MRI this morning confirmed nothing is broken (thank god), but the pain? Still brutal. Six days […]

Healing Isn’t Linear

Healing isn’t linear — and this past 2 weeks has made that loud and clear. After procedure #4, I started off strong. I was back in hot yoga just four days later, feeling hopeful and energized. But today? I’m barely walking. That’s what three hip bone injections in a row will do — my hip […]

Mama is Getting Better

Last night, I got to tell my girls that Mama’s cancer tumors are shrinking (20-25% per procedure!)— and that Mama is getting better. The joy in Adelyn’s voice (my 6-year-old) was something I’ll never forget. Your support is literally saving my life. It’s giving me more time with my daughters — and it’s working. I need […]

Treatment is Starting to Work

The last 3 weeks have been a rollercoaster of incredible family fun, pain, emotions, hope and optimism. We are at a turning point. The drugs have had time to accumulate, and we should be seeing results. AND WE ARE NOW SEEING RESULTS! Y’all, it is fucking WORKING! Labs and the last scan showed that my […]

Immunotherapy Injection #3

2 days ago I went under for immunotherapy injection #3!!! Fingers crossed that this becomes a turning point for my body to rise up and fight like my life depends on it (because, you know…). Now I’m recovering in beautiful San Jose del Cabo for 1 more day before heading back to our little girls. […]

New Rise for Lauren Website

My amazing Rise for Lauren team is a group of women who came together for me, led by Lica Mazzetto, to help me on my Mission to Remission. Janie Cotton from the Rise for Lauren team put together this fundraiser! Partnering with Jollity (jollity.io), my website agency, they put together a beautiful, custom-designed website to […]

First Rebyota Procedure

Last week I finished the first procedure, Rebyota! It cost $15k. I flew into LA in the middle of the devastating fires. It was heartbreaking to see the damage. The procedure was painless and I feel fantastic! I also got to meet the founder of the Williams Cancer Institute and his wife, which was a […]
